The Waveform Project Earthdance event was a roaring success.  For the first outdoor UK Earthdance event, we think everyone involved deserves a pat on the back!  For those that don't know, Earthdance is a global project spanning 340 events in 60 countries where groups of all sizes gathered to dance for world peace, to recite a prayer for peace and to take part in the H2OM project, sounding 3 OM's for the benefit of the waters of the Earth. 
It is estimated over a million people attended globally making this a truly staggering accomplishment!  At the Waveform project, around 3500 gathered for a 3 day festival which, for many, was the greatest event of the festival season!

The atmosphere was friendly, the setting beautiful, and the setup excellent with a decent green village, compost toilets, and all power being from sustainable resources. Of course, improvements can be made for next time, but for a first outing, this was a great start for UK Earthdance events!

People who attend our workshops or events never fail to report being astounded by the content, yet visitors to the website seem somewhat bemused or lost.  This is because of a number of reasons (not least due to the organisation and content of the site).  To try to offer some greater insight in a more digestible form, we've decided to invest more in our lovely visitors and give some video content to help you understand some of the material.  Here, Darren (aka Magpie) examines the significance of sound.  Enjoy!

What makes our work here different from others you may come across is that it relates to our natural inheritance here in the West. You do not have to learn another language, or another cultural practice or any such other imported thing. 

We do use techniques from all over the world, but they are demonstrated in new ways to reveal their importance from a clear-to-see and easy-to-understand viewpoint rooted firmly here in our own culture and language.

While the Glade festival turned into a complete mudbath where all workshops were cancelled, Shamania was blessed with lovely (albeit windy!) weather with spectacular views over Pendle Hill.  All three workshops went ahead and were a complete success, with some folks coming back for a second or even third dose! 

We had two morning slots for workshops and one early evening slot for a talk - we opted to run a Science of Sound  introduction one morning, a learning to SEE again one the next, and a grand finale of a Divded Unity introduction on the final day.  These went down a storm and we look forward to bringing them to more and more people as word spreads as to how interesting, exciting and profound each of them is.  Click read more to see a few images from the event.

We all interpret the world differently.  But we actually all process it in exactly the same way.

Our approach is rooted in this.  These are not models of interpretation you will have to discard for the next class or workshop you go to, or the next time you have an enlightening experience - these models are based on human processing - how these mental, emotional and physical bodies have been conditioned to process the reality around us, and how to directly undo it.  Therefore, you never have to discard them  - they will fit into everything you have learnt so far, and much of what you will learn in the future.

There has been a change to our regular class schedule : due to other commitments, the weekly Manchester class has been cancelled until further notice.  You will still have the opportunity to do regular sound work with Darren by attending the workshops.
